Class-A surfacing

Styling & design meets engineering technology – this undertaking is not always easy, but our Class-A surface modelling (Strak) department makes it possible. We ensure that artistic shapes are not only beautiful but also practical in terms of production, tooling, and costs. Nevertheless, you don’t want to lose sight of the uniqueness of the forms and retain the beauty. Our Strak department skillfully blends these two worlds, producing high-quality Class-A surfaces. The tools we use are ICEM SURF, ALIAS and CATIA V5.

Engineering Design

Not every component development is ‘straightforward’; more challenges keep emerging, such as constructing according to reference cards with a focus on cost and weight, parametrization, etc. to name a few. Our designers bring extensive experience in plastic materials and body-in-white sectors, especially for applications in automotive cockpits (instrument panel, center console, door panels) and body (doors, flaps, side frames, and underbody). However, it’s not just experience that matters in design, but also ‘thinking outside the box’, which sets our team apart. CATIA V5 and CATIA V6 are the tools we use.

Project management

Do you need interface partners for your development team, e.g. at project team level, or someone to control your service provider? Someone who not only keeps project goals in focus but also handles costs, deadlines and approvals, as well as to navigate formal committees? Or simply a person who accompanies and supports with their knowledge? Our colleagues have already been successful in positions such as “Interface leader”, “Series development team leader”, and even “Module leader”, with everything that these roles entail. Customer satisfaction is our top priority.

Prototype tooling

To test and prove the idea of a concept design, hardware is often essential—parts that are assembled for the first time and provide crucial insights not visible on a computer screen. We are pleased to offer such services to our customers. These include prototype parts serving as the foundation for design, functionality, or even development toward series production readiness. Our collaborative partners boast extensive experience in manufacturing prototype tools for both steel and plastic components. They specialize in resin models, laminate models, injection molding, tools for the production of carbon parts, rapid prototyping, and more. Please feel free to inquire; we are happy to assess feasibility of designs.
